This is the packaging concept created for a sustainably made Canberra based hair accessory company. The pillow box is the primary packaging of the brand and the mailer is what that pillow boxes will be sent in when consumers order for Chies. The packaging is meant to be fun, light and bright which correlates with the fun products that Chies produces.
Brief
For this project, we were required to design and create a physical prototype of a packaging solution for a commercial product of our choice. The design needed to have a strong focus on the visual design for marketing the product to the desired target audience, whilst also considering the sustainability and ecological impact of the materials and manufacturing processes required to bring it to market.
Process
I began this process by choosing to create my own brand along with a customer persona. This helped me create the initial sketches of this brand's primary packaging and mailer. The next step was to create die lines that could be translated into the final physical prototype.
